Here at Pure Body Health, we are committed to minimizing wait times and maximizing the convenience of appointment times. In order to provide quality and timely services to all clients, our clinic strictly enforces our policies for no-show, late cancellation and late arrival clients.
Pure Body Health is monitored by motion-censored cameras for business, staff and client security. As a business we take our clients privacy very seriously and adhere to all privacy laws. If you need to cancel, reschedule or shorten your appointment with us, please notify us as soon as possible with a minimum of 24-hours’ notice. When you book an appointment, we reserve that time for you. We need adequate notice of cancellation for all our services to allow enough time for your appointment slot to be filled. Unless we can fill your spot with another appointment of the same value, you will still be charged the full fee for your appointment if you do not cancel and/or reschedule before the 24-hour period. If a shorter appointment is booked for your late-cancelled slot, you will only be charged the difference.
To reap the full benefits of your treatment, please arrive at least a few minutes prior to your appointment time. All appointments will end at the scheduled time. If late, you will only be treated for the remaining amount of your appointment time, allowing us to keep on schedule for our next clients.

Registered Massage Therapy and Acupuncture are recognized health care professions in British Columbia. The majority of extended health care plans partially or fully cover fees for these treatments. Policies typically have a percentage of coverage and/or up to a dollar amount annually. Each individual plan may have different coverage for each treatment type, check with your insurance company.
We offer direct billing to Blue Cross and most Extended Health Plans free of charge. Depending on individual coverage, full payment or partial payment may be required at the time of treatment.
Please inform the receptionist if you would like the clinic to direct bill your insurance. There is a consent form that includes the information we need in order for us to provide this service.
Please be aware that we cannot guarantee direct billing at every appointment. This could be due to issues with individual insurance plans or problems with the submission portal.
We can electronically submit for Desjardins on behalf of our clients, but they still need to pay upfront and then payment is returned to them by Desjardins.
RCMP, VAC, and CAF members are covered for Massage Therapy and/or Acupuncture treatments with a doctor’s referral. We require a copy of the referral for your file prior to treatment, then we can bill directly to Medavie Blue Cross. Please let us know prior to booking that you will be wanting us to submit a claim on your behalf. In some cases, additional authorization before treatment may need to be given, which can take up to a week or longer.
Direct billing to ICBC is offered by all registered practitioners at our clinic that are enrolled in the ICBC program. To find out which practitioners qualify, please contact our reception. The amount ICBC covers varies based on the type of therapy you receive.
For Acupuncture your initial visit is covered up to $105, and follow-up visits are covered up to $88. For Registered Massage, your initial visit is covered up to $107, and follow-up visits are covered up to $80. Please note that all patients are required to cover the cost of the difference for their session at the time of treatment. Patients are entitled to receive coverage for up to 12 visits, as long they are completed within 12 weeks of the accident.
If you have reported your accident with ICBC simply give us a call on 778 265 0043 and book an appointment with one of our registered practitioners. Please have your ICBC claim number ready when you call. We look forward to helping you on your road to recovery!

Please help us maintain a tranquil environment at Pure Body Health by turning off your ringer and refraining from talking on your cell phone while in the clinic.
Please do not wear strong synthetic fragrances on the day of your appointment with us. We are a chemical scent-free clinic. We only use naturally scented eco-friendly soaps and cleaners. We do use pure essential oils, but these natural scents generally do not have the same negative effect on people who are sensitive to synthetic scents.
Please be considerate of our clients who have scent sensitivities by not bringing them with you into the clinic. Symptoms of scent sensitivity can include:
Please ensure that all consent and intake forms are filled out at least 20 minutes prior to treatment. Telehealth involves the use of electronic communication to enable virtual consultations. During your virtual consultation details of your medical history, examinations and tests, as well as treatment will be discussed via the use of interactive video, audio, and telecommunication technology. - video and/or audio, or photographs may be taken of you during the virtual consultation. Please silence all other devices so information and communications can be received properly.

Because of the risks outlined below, we cannot guarantee the security and confidentiality of your virtual consultation:
