Sharleen's therapeutic style is heart-centered, growth-focused, and solution-oriented. The healing lens is a holistic integration of psychodynamic, mindfulness self-compassion, positive psychology & body-centered psychotherapy.
Sharleen is a Registered Clinical Counsellor license #16841 with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellor. She earned a Master’s of Arts in Counselling (2019) from University of Seattle where she wrote a thesis on anxiety & psychotherapy with a focus on psychedelic therapy for anxiety.
With 7+ years of professional nursing experience, she has witnessed many forms of physical, mental, emotional, psychological, and psycho-spiritual suffering in areas of acute medicine, mental health and addictions, crisis stabilization, adult rehabilitation. The diverse professional background provided her with the opportunity to understand people of all walks of life and as a result, can genuinely support therapeutic healing on all levels.
She acknowledges in life that blessings and challenges go hand in hand. In other words, there’s no light without the darkness, no gifts without trauma, no happiness without grief, no right without wrong, no improvement without error, and no true love without heartache. With this realization, she accept life as a whole and therefore, embrace past, present and future.
She is a mystic, minimalist, and vegan. She enjoys forest bathing, cycling, dancing, travelling, hiking & classical music. Every day she loves walking outdoor meditating, praying and singing while manifesting serenity and connecting to the soft symphony of the mother earth.
